"Tranquility at its finest. After exploring the wonders of Monument Valley, Durango and all the four corners has to offer it was absolutely a pleasure to be staying at Mike Heizer's Animas River RV Park. Conveniently located just off Highway 550 in Aztec New Mexico. The first thing I noticed upon entering the road was how welcoming it was, I thought to myself the gentleman who owns this property has taken pride in what he owns. A stunning row of roses grace his driveway alongside a vegetable garden most would envy. The RV park appeared to be landscaped and cared for with the same pride and integrity. Thank you Mr. Heiser we're definitely coming back. Five stars"

From A State of Nevada Safety Consultant

"I travel quite frequently on business/pleasure from Reno, Nevada to the Four Corners. I have stayed at Mike Heizer’s Animas River RV Park many times over the past several years. I have found it to be very reasonably priced, quiet, serene and in a beautiful setting. Located in a beautiful valley between Mesas with the Animas River running next to it. Lots of large shade trees and very easy on/off highway entry/exit to Highway 550. The water is fine and a disgruntled neighbor is falsely claiming land ownership which is a non-issue. Highly recommend and plan to stay at this RV park for future trips. Dave Murray Safety Consultant STATE OF NEVADA"

What a beautiful place!

"What a beautiful place! My wife and I stayed there for three months this spring and plan to stay there this fall on our way to Arizona. The price can't be beaten. We looked into every resort and park in the area, and there was none of this quality for the price. If you stay here (and avoid the expensive places up the road) you'll have more money to spend on yourselves in town. The location is a bit removed (being halfway between Durango, Colorado and Aztec, New Mexico) but it's not a far drive (15 mins.) to get to either. For my wife and I, the distance is a good thing. We like the slow pace of the valley. There's a Shell gas station across the street that has a good selection of food and alcohol at a decent price. We've stayed at a few parks in the area and I'd say this is the best deal, by far. It has a better location than all but the really expensive parks (on the river in a Mesa Canyon) but it's less expensive than...everyone, actually. Three thumbs up. Geoff and"
